About the Bryn Mawr Garden Committee

The Bryn Mawr Garden Committee orchestrates ongoing greening efforts in the neighborhood, including maintenance of the Bryn Mawr Hedge and support of the organization of the Bryn Mawr Garden Tour. No membership or experience required, all are welcome! We are always looking for volunteers for workdays as well as specific tasks to help keep the community gardens looking great.

We have many beautiful public gardens in Bryn Mawr and rely on Garden Committee members and our volunteer Garden Stewards to lead the ongoing maintenance of these important features of our wonderful neighborhood.

Help wanted

As you wander around the neighborhood, whether you’re an active member of the Garden Committee or not, there are two critical tasks that we always need help with: WEEDING and WATERING. Neither take tremendous skill to perform. To weed: find a plant that doesn’t belong, pull it out at the base. To water, find a thirsty plant, give it a long, deep drink!
