Wednesday, June 25th, 4:00 PM - Bryn Mawr LRT Station Area Walking Tour
To participate in the tour, participants must be able to walk on potentially uneven terrain and for at least one mile and use sturdy close-toed shoes (at least tennis shoes, preferably hiking boots). Participants will view construction activities and current status of the Bryn Mawr Station area plus perspectives from a staff member from the City of Minneapolis Community Planning and Economic Development team who will be joining us to share more about the city's ideas or vision for this area.
Registrants should bring a reusable water bottle since the weather will likely be hot, wear closed-toe shoes (preferably boots), and plan to arrive about 5 minutes before the tour start time to receive a safety briefing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that will be provided for participants to use during the tour. Meeting location will be announced to those who register for the tour.
Medical and mobility considerations: Please contact us prior to the tour if any of the following are true for you:
You are not able to traverse loose and/or uneven soils or a steep-ish grade
You cannot walk one mile without assistance
The tour is weather dependent and can be cancelled at any time due to inclement weather. If you have provided a phone number, staff may reach out by text in addition to email to communicate updates about the tour. A reminder that you are welcome to take photos during the tour; photos and videos may also be captured by project staff to use on the project’s website and other mediums.
