Petal to Pedals 2026!
Join us on a ride-along tour through our neighborhood gardens, finishing with a picnic party! The Garden Committee and Active Transportation Committee are partnering to deliver a family-friendly group bike ride highlighting natural spaces in Bryn Mawr. We will meet at the Garden of Hope and Healing in front of the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church at 1:45 pm on Saturday, July 18, weather permitting. We’ll be riding around the neighborhood with a formal stop at the Quaking Bog to walk the newly completed boardwalk. We will end the ride around 4:00 pm at the JD Rivers community garden for a special guided tour with Minneapolis Parks and Recreation staff, followed by a neighborhood celebration featuring games and delicious treats! Ice Cream Social
It's an ice cream party in the street! Please join us at the largest Bryn Mawr Neighborhood Association sponsored event of the year. It’s a chance to dance to local band RetroFizz and socialize.
Make a night of it in the neighborhood and visit our local businesses.

Trailhead Bubble Ride
Join us for a kid-friendly bike ride to the Theodore Wirth Trailhead for music, food and fun. Enjoy snacks and drinks from the newly opened Aki's Bakehouse. Meet at the Garden of Hope & Healing in front of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. We'll roll out at 5:10pm. And there will be bubbles!
Buckthorn Busting Event
Buckthorn Busting Event in Bassett Creek Park on June 6th from 10-12pm. Check in will be at Chestnut and Upton. Please dress appropriately for walking through the woods, and bring your own gloves, clippers and/or handsaws. No electric tools are allowed for MPRB sanctioned events.

🤑Hedge Fun & Happy Hour on Penn 🤑
June 5, 6:00/6:30pm til whenever
Penn Ave is a car-free cul-de-sac in the center of Bryn Mawr. For one night, let’s make it a park! Cuppa Java, Big Hill Books and Bryn Mawr Pizza open late so order something to go and bring it over and we’ll have a sneak peak at samples from FOLD Desserts. We’ll make our own Eat Street! There will be games, (even ping pong!), a fire pit, activities and more! Bring a musical instrument if you’re so inclined to join the chorus.
Gardens Annual Container Planting
Join the garden committee to plant the “downtown” Bryn Mawr annual containers! Learn from experts and lend your design flare to this year’s theme. Meet at the Garden of Hope and Healing for the plan and assignments. Bring gloves, any favorite hand tools (shovels, trowels, scissors, pruners), and weather appropriate clothing.
Annual Meeting & Potluck Dinner
The annual meeting and potluck dinner takes place each year, as articulated in our by-laws. This is a membership business meeting where neighbors can vote for association representatives and officers, discuss neighborhood issues, hear from elected officials, and greet new and longtime neighbors.
Walk to Art Fair at Walker Sculpture Garden
Walk to Art Fair - Mother's Day Weekend - Saturday 5/9 at 2:00pm @ Bryn Mawr Meadows Playground
Join the Bryn Mawr Active Transportation Committee for a neighborhood walk to the Sculpture Garden Art Fair on Saturday, May 9 (rain date: Sunday, May 10.). We’ll meet at Bryn Mawr Meadows Park, by the playground, at 2:00 pm and head out at 2:10 pm for a relaxed, family-friendly walk to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden to enjoy local art, food trucks, and music.
Our route will be about ~3/4 mile from the Meadows to the Sculpture Garden. Afterwards, you're welcome to join us for happy hour or head back on your own.

Festival of Garage Sales
This iconic neighborhood-wide garage sale has a long history. Started in the 1970s, the festival draws people from all over the city and beyond to Bryn Mawr for over 100 garage sales, along with eating and shopping at our local stores.
Open Gym
The BMNA and the Bryn Mawr School PTA are sponsoring an open gym night. Kids and a chaperone are invited to the Bryn Mawr School gym on Wednesdays from 6 -7 pm. The BMNA has an equipment cart with balls and toys, You are also welcome to bring your own to use. We are also looking for volunteers to put away the balls and equipment at the end of the evenings. Piecycle Pastry Ride
April Piecycle Ride - 4/26 at 2pm @ Bryn Mawr Meadows Park Playground
Join the Bryn Mawr Active Transportation Committee and Piecycle for our "season opener" bike ride. We'll meet at the playground at Bryn Mawr Meadows Park (on Morgan and Laurel) at 2:00 PM and roll out at 2:15 on Sunday, April 26th. We plan to ride to Diane’s Place in Northeast - just under 4 miles - via the newly reopened Cedar Lake Trail. We will enjoy pastries and drinks at the end of the ride. The ride is family friendly, and riders of all skills and paces are welcome.
