Volunteer Opportunities

Every Meal Weekend Food Program

Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, in conjunction with Every Meal, distribute weekend food bags at Bryn Mawr School.

Weekends can be a challenging time for kids who benefit from the free breakfast and lunch the school provides during the week.

Every Friday at 11:30am, and days before school breaks, volunteers at Bryn Mawr spend an hour placing food bags in students’ backpacks.  The pre-packed bags weigh between 3-5 pounds.

Sign up here to volunteer on a Friday.

Enjoy the School Forest with Bryn Mawr Scholars

Elementary school science teacher, Allison Kavanagh is looking for volunteers to make outdoor learning ventures safe with another adult on hand.  As our science specialist, she works with all grades on a rotating basis, so you can choose the age children you would like to work with and the time of day that works for you.

If you wish to explore this opportunity to get some fresh air and help kids connect to nature, please contact  allison.kavanagh@mpls.k12.mn.us

Thanks for considering!

Reading Buddies at Anwatin School

Anwatin Middle School needs volunteers to share the joy of reading with 8th-grade students who would benefit from individual attention.
