Makin’ Bryn Mawr a Monarch Haven

April 27 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 pm

This spring, take advantage of the Makin’ Bryn Mawr a Monarch Haven community project! Spring has sprung and monarch butterflies will soon be flying around, looking for friendly neighborhood gardens. Bryn Mawr residents have a special opportunity to enhance their yards and improve our neighborhood.

  • Plan to attend one of two FREE presentations by Stephanie Rathsack of the U of M’s Monarch Lab. The presentations will be given in the Bryn Mawr Elementary School cafeteria on:

Saturday, April 13, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM

Saturday, April 27, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM

  • After attending one of the seminars, agree to plant a monarch-friendly garden on your property this spring, and you will receive a plant voucher for use toward part of your purchase of pollinator-friendly plants at the Bryn Mawr Elementary PTA Plant Sale. (Please note: you must attend a seminar to receive a voucher.) The pollinator-friendly plants will be marked with a “B” on the plant sale order form. (The order form is inserted in this edition of the Bugle, and will also be available online beginning April 7.)
