The
1997 Bryn Mawr Comprehensive Plan was created to provide an
easy-to-understand and graphic view into the character of the Bryn Mawr
neighborhood. It was designed to focus discussion on what is important
to Bryn Mawr, challenge the neighborhood focus, and help organize the
volunteer efforts that make the neighborhood successful. The Plan was
to be informative and supportive of the vision of Bryn Mawr, and also
to act as a stimulus for identifying and advancing improvements to the
neighborhood.
In
May 2002, the BMNA created the Land Use Committee. The BMNA charged the
Committee with developing a land use plan for the neighborhood. In
December 2003, the BMNA approved the plan, which has also been approved
by the City Council as an amendment to the City’s Comprehensive plan.
Details of the staff report presented to the city council can be found
at the City of Minneapolis Website under agenda item #17
In
February of 2006, the 4th open house was held to discuss the Bassett
Creek Valley Master Plan. The above is a link to an outline of this
presentation.
