Bryn Mawr Harvest Dinner

Celebrate fall and give thanks for your friends and neighbors at the annual pot luck Harvest Dinner on Thursday, November 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Bryn Mawr Elementary School.
The Bryn Mawr Neighborhood Association will provide home-roasted turkey; bring a side dish or dessert to share.
For many years the Harvest Dinner has been held the last week of October, just before Halloween. But the tradition of having a fall pot luck actually started in the early 1990’s at Thanksgiving time. The BMNA partnered with Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church to host a Sunday noon Thanksgiving dinner, first in the church basement, and then at Bryn Mawr Elementary when the new community room was finished. For a few years, the church actually held their service in the small gym at BME, which used to be a chapel. With so many October events and Halloween parties, the BMNA decided to return to a November pot luck – the Thursday before Thanksgiving.
Be there by 6:00 for an opportunity to try all the side dishes and don’t forget we’ll have door prizes!
